The pinnacle of Haemoculi innovation, the Excruciator-class Titan is the largest, most heavily armed and armored of all Dark Eldar vehicles. It combines the qualities of the Darkstinger and Inflictor-class Titans into one, and possesses armaments unique to its design.

The Titan's hull bristles with batteries of Shuriken Cannons, Dark Lances, Disintegrators, Destructors, and Stingers, and it also is equipped with numerous grappling claws fitted with various torture instruments. In its front are firing hatches for various Eldar grenades, from Haywire and Plasma grenades to Wraithbone grenades of all varieties. Beneath its body are several more grappling claws.

At the top of the Titan are seven towers, one main tower and six support towers. The main tower is where the control crew of the Titan is, while the support towers act as garrisons for Warriors, Scourges, and Hellions. All of them bristle with their unique assortment of Shuriken Cannons, Dark Lances, and Disintegrators.

In addition to the customization capability in armaments which the Excruciator shares with Darkstingers and Inflictors, the Titan's initial design can also be modified to their owners' taste. Some individual machines have a protective wall surrounding the towers, while others feature blade-like protrusions on them instead of ranged weapons.

To add to its role as a walking artillery vehicle and torture machine, the Excruciator also serves the role of battle fortress. The Titan is capable of housing hundreds of Warriors, Wyches, Mandrakes, and Grotesques, as well as the raiding party's command group. Hellions and Reavers can also be transported, and can launch from the Titan in the same manner as fighter craft do from warships. To allow efficient boarding and disembarking, the standard Excruciator has twelve entry hatches. Four are located on top, two are placed on either side of the Titan, and the last four are at the bottom of the body.

Fully distinguishing it from its lesser counterparts is the capability to carry a multi-layered force field. This barrier is powered by twelve shield generators scattered throughout the Titan body. Four are located around the main tower, two are situated atop it, and each of the support towers has a generator on its peak. Together, the generators produce a strong barrier that can absorb lasfire and shrug off bullets, plasma, and rockets. The main tower is also fitted with a crystal that can perform the same functions done by its counterparts on Inflictors, but in a more massive scale.

Truly the Excruciator is a fearsome machine, but its might is dampened by its rarity. Due to the amount of materials and manpower taken to construct a single Excruciator, the most influential Kabals can only be lucky enough to acquire one. Therefore, Excruciators are primary targets for Archons seeking to plunder neighboring districts. The Black Heart Kabal is rumored to possess three legions composed entirely of Excruciators.

Also, to note, the force field of an Excruciator does not shield the Titan's bottom. An effective tactic to dispatch the war machine is to attack from the bottom. Such a move is not without its risks, as one must brave the Excruciator's escorts as well as the grappling claws situated beneath it.
